about

This is a live demo. Imagination is needed to appreciate what this song could be at its full potential. A studio version is forthcoming.

lyrics

If you want something to last
Then tattoo it across your chest

I’m not about to drink potash
Cause I’m like that
If you want some bone marrow
From a scarecrow
I’m not about get a hangnail
From my fanmail
If you now feel Bulimic
Then you should diet

I’m not above feeling happy for awhile
I’m not above filling your gracious smile
Full of a plaster cast
Hung on my mantle it’s best
displayed so I know its mine

If you want something to last
Then drill it in my head

Who would dare smear shoe polish
Doctor’s office
I’m not about to drink potash
Cause I’m like that
If I’m wanted in Europe
By my stirrups
I don’t want to spill stale
Ginger Ale

I’m not above feeling happy for awhile
I’m not above filling your gracious smile
Full of a plaster cast
Hung on my mantle it’s best
Displayed so I know it’s fresh

about

owenshire Ontario

Owenshire was born when Robert Muhlbock bought a bass guitar in 1992 and began recording dozens of bass and vocal demos under that name.

Two albums, numerous "live demos," one too-long hiatus and (most importantly) one bass distortion pedal later, Muhlbock continues to release riff-based alt. rock, scattered with lush harmonies and dotted with cryptic and/or disillusioned lyrics.
