about

This is a live demo. Imagination is needed to appreciate what this song could be at its full potential. A studio version is forthcoming.

lyrics

The trouble with love
Is how it gets inside you
And you forget why you fought
All the lonely, all the sad
Feelings mistook as flaws
I’m sorry, which was the better?

She knows
All is fine
And what is mine is mine
I try to live up to these expectations
I try to regress from the separation
But it’s never enough
You play the extra part in everything I do

The summer
Makes me feel I’m beside you
When did this happen?
It’s not my fault
Are you losing control?
But we never go anywhere
I’d like to pick you up
But you’re doing housework

She knows
All is fine
And what is mine is mine
(the world is ours, let’s get carried away)
And I try not to think about it
And maybe for five minutes
You can pretend that everything is all right
And everything is normal

Apple pie happy sunshine day
Apple pie happy sunshine day
And I try not to think about it
And maybe for five minutes
You can pretend that everything is all right
And you had a life before this

about

owenshire Ontario

Owenshire was born when Robert Muhlbock bought a bass guitar in 1992 and began recording dozens of bass and vocal demos under that name.

Two albums, numerous "live demos," one too-long hiatus and (most importantly) one bass distortion pedal later, Muhlbock continues to release riff-based alt. rock, scattered with lush harmonies and dotted with cryptic and/or disillusioned lyrics.
