about

This is a live demo. Imagination is needed to appreciate what this song could be at its full potential. A studio version is forthcoming.

lyrics

I hope I’ll relieve your headache
By getting rid of this nest-egg
It will be painless

But don’t worry I’m on this one
Got a handle on this one

I never will see your children
I’m sure they’d look just like you and me
Except they would be laughing

I’m on this one I’m on this one

I’m sorry the guy with two last names
Expired before he knew yours
I’ve been there myself before

My imagination makes me weep
I’ll try to stifle it next week
I’m on this one

All my ideas were not mine
Kiss these sore lips one last time
But not if you mean it

I always feel apprehensive
Your eyes lift up when you see my face
But I’m not smiling at you

It’s just that you remind me of someone
Maybe you remind me of someone
You remind me of someone

Owenshire was born when Robert Muhlbock bought a bass guitar in 1992 and began recording dozens of bass and vocal demos under that name.

Two albums, numerous "live demos," one too-long hiatus and (most importantly) one bass distortion pedal later, Muhlbock continues to release riff-based alt. rock, scattered with lush harmonies and dotted with cryptic and/or disillusioned lyrics.
