about

This is a live demo. Imagination is needed to appreciate what this song could be at its full potential. A studio version is forthcoming.

lyrics

I was told this was tragic
We were both left in Alcatraz

Leave your possessions now
Something has terribly gone wrong
Something putrid is leaking out
Something has inherently gone wrong.

I was told this was magic
We were both left in Alcatraz
On this 3 mile island
The only way to escape is to swim, so.

Leave your possessions now
something has horribly gone wrong
Something putrid is leaking out
Something has methodically gone wrong
Leave your possessions now
Something has apparently gone wrong

It seems to me that if nobody answers
How will we know where to lay all the blame?
It seems to me that if nobody answers
We’re going to repeat all our mistakes.
And it seems to me that if nobody transfers
How the hell will we relate? We won’t.
Oh it seems to be that if nobody answers
We’ll going to repeat all our mistakes
It seems to me that if nobody answers
How will we know who to blame?
But that’s okay…

about

owenshire Ontario

Owenshire was born when Robert Muhlbock bought a bass guitar in 1992 and began recording dozens of bass and vocal demos under that name.

Two albums, numerous "live demos," one too-long hiatus and (most importantly) one bass distortion pedal later, Muhlbock continues to release riff-based alt. rock, scattered with lush harmonies and dotted with cryptic and/or disillusioned lyrics.
